We've had a joint statement or two....
Silence is deafening, I agree. But there is no new on pay because there is no news, RM and CWU are still talking, each has different targets, and as usual they're poles apart. Can't see anything being announced any time soon. At least not in terms of a deal, maybe a ballot.
Colleague shares, well, I've given up on them...
As far as revision non payment, would that not depend on the state of play in your office? Though, it does seem like there is ambiguity in the BT2010 agreement that RM may well be taking advantage of....
B&H...been waiting ages, RM know it happens in my opinion, hell, I think the senior management instigate and/or encourage it.
Lack on information/communication is frustrating, but if there isn't anything useful/important to pass on then that's the way it is. RM will want a pathetic deal on all of it, with loads of strings attached.

I think it will all be dealt with in one large event. But I think we'll have to strike first. It may also take long enough for Privatisation to be a part of it.
Have been told RM are expecting/preparing for strike action.....if true, would mean they have already decided what they want/are willing to do, and don't intend to give way. They will more than likely think staff don't want to/have the stomach for a fight over these things.

if they were mickey mouse shares why was staff who left during that time paid out.
the shares gained profit for the first few years, dont you remember the tempreture gauge in the courier that showed staff the profits were making,then when it was time to send out the divs a certain govement had the money a way.
it still is beyound beleave that staff got f.a for the shares yet no one went to court over it and our union asked for that years accounts from royal mail. yet no answers to staff.

We had a few retirements in our office that got paid out too, got the full £5000 up front. They fact that RM refused to show us the books proves, in my opinion, that we aren't doing as bad as they're claiming. They saw a way to save a payment and took it. It may be they offer us the money from these shares at some point as a bribe to accept another crappy deal.

Under Crozier and Leighton who came up with the phoney share plan of course it was protrayed that it was going to be paid out. But the fact remains that the only money most people got off colleague share was when the union moved money for colleague share into lump sums. We had two payments of £400 under Pay and Mod and the £1000 under BT2010 was all from colleague share money.

When Leighton and Crozier left , Moya Greene came in with one business strategy to sell Royal Mail. She could harldy sell Royal Mail when the Pension defcit was bigger then the encomony of Luxemburg. So she and the Government had to get rid of the defcit and hence they asked for European State Aid and that meant the company had to be a basket case. So they revalued the company as almost bankrupt thats while some a few months earlier who left got money whilst the rest of us got nothing as colleague share could not be paid out when in fact they were asking for a bail out cause the company was on its knees. Yes a con but the pension deficit allowed them to do this.

It should not be lost on anyone that now according to Moya and her other senior managers we are now making money and suddenly we are a parcels business managing the deciline in letters. The fact when you dig deeper that you find we have no strategy should also tell you this is about attempting to get investors into the industry by saying that parcels are growing and Royal Mail is in prime postion to caputre the growing market.

Now lets thing why Fallon would want the sun to print an article like this on a Saturday could it be that Moya`s roadshows are not winning the hearts and minds of the staff in terms of wanting a sell off. So a good leak comes out where some may be tempted to support a sell off. Remember the value of company will not be known until the end of this month so why was the leak made on Saturday.

If I like a gamble , I would think that maybe the investor are not lining up to buy into Royal Mail , that the staff dont want it and maybe a certain oppostion might not support it either. So maybe that leak is aimed at trying to say to postal workers if you support the sell off then you will recieve some money.

However it will be more like you will recieve a lump sum because you wont have a job and your terms and conditions will be downdialled becuase the shareholder will want a return quickly.
