As a point of interest I'm assuming that an inner London postie has highest basic pay of any postie in the country. Does anyone know what it is weekly and also as a yearly salary before any deductions?

I think it is about £470/week basic (not including delivery supplement)
Roughly £25 grand/year.

It's unfair to try to polarise an argument or to do a bit of unofficial moderating.
As far as I can see the thread is as much about the cost of living in other areas as anything else,attempting to shut down that debate just because it might involve an area that already receives help only serves to increase hostility.
Is London that precious?

Great thanks for that.... not wishing to be picky but does anyone have an exact figure? i.e the minimum an inner London rated OPG would get before any deductions.
