Delivering Parcelforce in van share pl

we do . some of the parcels are very large.

on deliveries we just get dumped with eveybody elses parcels. and then get told we have to take them as we are the end of the line everybody elses dumping ground. and dims have no balls to send them back the whole operational set up a sham/farce

There are some offices here in Scotland that deliver parcel force stuff, it's not an option to refuse them

So we have just lost a load of parcels to parcel force (i.e. not being delt with in mail centres) but is still coming back into the system for "the final mile" Christ, were as bad as the rest of them!!

Maybe I'm a suspicious so and so, but the cynic in me thinks that at some point in the not too distant future, there may be an announcement by RM that parcel numbers are dropping....even though we will still be delivering them.

They are essentially being DSA'd, but RM don't include these figures in mail volumes.(That's according to an MC manager anyway). Another way to manipulate the figures in my book, both with regards to mail volumes, and the financial accounts.

yes but certain offices in the western isles and highlands have a contract with parcelforce to deliver them, royal mail are getting paid by parcel force to be their drivers in these locations, so no option to send them back its part of our work load

Lets be fair, in the more rural areas, it just makes sense. Which is why I'm confused that a manager in the business came up with it. Though it was probably done years ago by one of them 'proper' managers, that no longer exist.

In towns and city centres however, there should be no need to have RM deliver PF work. They deliver and collect in the same area, and now they have more work in both respects.
