Invited to a meeting with manager on my day off

I've been invited to a meeting with a senior manager,
The day of the meeting is my day off
And I am unable to attend.
I have been told that this meeting can not be rescheduled ?
Even if I could attend on my day off, which I can't,
is it fair to assume I should get this time back in some form,

Is it an unreasonable request that my meeting with management be held in rm time and not my own?

f**k them. Get on to your rep or area rep and tell them everything including their unwillingness to reschedule. Also get your rep to attend the meeting with you when they do reschedule. Do you know what the meeting is about?

any issues that are work related have to be dealt with in work time, simple as that. you simply say you cant attend due to private commitments. they haven't a leg to stand on. you will find they will then arrange another day in work time. another example of managers careing thoughtful no
respect towards its employees

Yeah They know its my day off,
It would seem that They just love to turn the screw.
I've told them I am more than happy to attend any meetings whilst on duty,
What can be so difficult to arrange?

Had the same thing years ago, I had to attend an atos meeting at work, 3 times it was made on my day off, I just kept telling them I couldn't attend until they eventually made it on a work day.

a day off is just that.if you have worked your hours they cannot make you attend,paid or unpaid.
overtime is not compulsary
