all this talk of RM going to a 5 day working week, investors coming in etc, I only have 6 years to my name and i'm not very high up on the seniority list, haven't a clue what kind of work i could go into if i lost my job.

I will be honest I'm worrying! I'm in a mail centre with 12 years service in, and really can't think what other job I could do after these years I have been here going "stale" as such!

I'm guessing you're on a permanent contract so I'd say you've got nothing to be worried about?

All the unfortunates on temp contracts would be the first to be let go, and after them there would be a que a mile long for VR!

No point in worrying because no-one,not us,management,Moya,the CWU or the Government has a clue what's around the corner.
It won't be good but there's no way of knowing how bad and there isn't much we can do about it until we know what we're fighting.
Relax and enjoy the ride.

5 hours to do ips, sort up walk, do deads etc, bag up, take out deliver, return, tidy up etc ?

As fishtank said, no point worrying now, wait until they actually pull whatever stunt they are going to, and see what the situation is then. They have been/are still prepping for job cuts, no one gets replaced, especially FT's, new employees are temp contracts etc. So much has to happen between now and then, don't stress about it yet.

1x 5hr contract on ips
1x 5hr contract sorting walks
1x 5hr contract delivery.

if you lose your job you probably will get EVR and you can use say 10 grand to start something new or get yourself straight. So don't panic yet.
