Hi
Cut a long story short , knocked on customer door to deliver parcel . Was cold so had the full uniform on inc wooly hat that covers half my face inc ears ! :-) . Didnt hear the customer apparently say ' who is it' behind the door. Obviously i didnt answer just waited for customer to answer.
Customer answered door , shouted at me why didnt you answer me , i apologised and said sorry was there something you said , called me a liar that i couldnt hear them and i have bad customer service.
I genuinlly didnt hear the customer say a thing and was shocked when they opened the door and started shouting at me.
The customer has since been comlaining 5+ times about everything imaginable. damaged mail, abusive , thretening, confrontational , knocking door abusivly , delivering mail to wrong address, damaged parcels, missing parcels.
dom has invited me to a fact finder / conduct code.
Anything to worry about ?
I feel harrassed by this customer who seems to have a grudge against me.
I dont know this person personally , and they have done similar complaints against other posties , i feel im getting the brunt of it all now as nothing has been donr in the past.

We've all had them.
Explain everything to your manager.
Avoid slagging the customer off.
You might want to suggest a temporary move to a vacant duty(if one exists) to give both of you a break.
Above all be honest.
They usually get over it.
good times, bad times you know I've had my share

I just find it bizarre that this has came from nowhere... literally genuinley not hearing the customer to all this .
Im quite happy to change walk , but obviously dont need the stress and worry of this as i have done nothing wrong , just do my job to spec im polite & courteous always. Even had customer phone RM to praise my customer service in the past.

I think most posties have had some sort of bizarre customer complaints in the past, it's a bit of an arse when it's personal.
perhaps they are trying to get some free stamps.

Yes normal walk , no idea about neighbours . I have many customers i get along with on my round , always say morning / afternoon , have a chat often when my duty time has finished .motch wrote:Is this your normal walk? do his neighbours/ near neighbours like him/her? if not try and get them to phone in saying how great you are toojapost wrote:fishtank wrote:Probably not.japost wrote:Anything to worry about ?

I think you may be right abouth e compensation/stamps maybe they have achieved this before , thats non eof my business TBH . Bit demoralizing though as it was only 2 weeks ago line manager spoke to me again about the complaints and sent back the email .OPG doing job to pec - no furthur action required. Now this.....

Hope you dont have same Dom as i had .Customer complained ive since found out .Strange thing is in his witness statement there was no mention of this .Some bull **** about patrolling area.Made observations about the length of time i was at an ad dress. If someone has "Fabricated" evidence surely this is "Perverting the course of Justice".Even carried this dodgy crap through to ET.I would like to think that if this is the case they also committed "Perjury".Looking into this as these low life scumbags nearly cost me everything, for what i ask myself .RM managerial bonuses.Keep looking overyour shoulders the clowns that were all moved after what they did to me.Tells me a lot "LooseLips Sink Ships".Only hope not all RM managers are like the ones involved in my dismissal.
