Signing for Have Your Say

Seen it all now. Today we had a form come through to sign, to say that we had completed the Have Your Say Form. This was after we had already been asked yesterday whether we had sent them off. No one has signed as surely these things are confidential and not obligatory. Management must be getting paranoid or is this another world class mail scenario.

I would have refused. They are optional and even if you do wish to fill them in, you can do this in your time and in a place of your choice.

This sort of behaviour by rm is all you need to know about our employer.
A simple thing like asking us if we would mind ever so much to kindly fill out the have your say.is too hard for them to understand.
NO not rm . Bully and haras your staff into filling them in. Oh! And what answers do you want me to put?

We all received notification through the post that we were getting these Employment Surveys, & that we'd be given the time to fill them in, like usual, they expected them to be completed in you're own time when it came down to it so it's still lying there on my frame!

I think it is likely you were asked to sign as RM has been getting onto the managers to get us to fill in the surveys, as the response rate isn't/hasn't been high enough for RM for a while. So I presume the boss will produce a sheet of signatures in the event he/she is asked why the response rate is crap. Will presumably say they have been lost in the post. When I received my form, my manager had a sheet which he ticked to say I'd been given it, may possibly be the same sheet you were asked to sign.

One thing I was slightly concerned about, on the form there is an identifying number which is supposed to refer to my unit, but I'm sceptical. Wonder if the number is unique, and my name is next to it on that sheet?

Why worry gremlin, they provided the questions and the answers and all you have done is tick a box which reflects your thoughts. They have no comeback.

seems we`re seeing a bit of having a go at RM because theyre giving you time to do them at work, and then people also complaining that they want to do them in own time. I think youre supposed to be given time to do them in duty time, how well you fill it out or whether you fill it out at all is of course optional.

No Postie 45. The problem is we are being asked to sign to say we have completed a form which is entirely optional, having already been asked over the phone the previous day by our Lino. They can spend useless time doing this but not provide information such as full holiday entitlement, when they have had at least four months to do this.
