Change of hours

I'm a part timer and our office has just gone through a revision. We will be expected to repick duties in a week or so.

It looks like there are no jobs available that match up with my contracted hours. Where do I stand ? I'm guessing what will be left for me will be 10 hours of a difference either way from my contract. What will happen if I don't want to increase/decrease my hours by this amount? Can I be made to transfer to neighbouring offices? Royal Mail always assume every part timer is desperate to be full time. Surely it is up to them to provide me with my contracted hours?

They can't make you decrease your hours.
Did you make your preferences known at the Employee Survey bit which should have been at the start of the revision process?
It probably wouldn't be difficult to give someone else the extra hours you don't want, assuming they are indoors and assuming your contracted hours will cover the delivery aspect of your duty. (but not knowing the make-up of your office or your current contracted hours or delivery spans it would be impossible to say)
Have you let both the rep and planner know of your desire to remain on your current contracted hours?

I was told that they couldn't give me an answer as to whether I would be full time or part time but I said that I may not want to be full time and couldn't make that decision until we saw the options of duties. There has been much vagueness concerning some questions anyone has asked. Looking at what is likely to be left I was just wondering if they had to honour my hours within my own office or if they could force a transfer

They can't make you increase, or decrease your hours but it might restrict your options when in a repick.
