I think someone is trolling. But still....
As has been mentioned above, do 20 years in all weathers, day in day out, then tell me senior guys are slow. We were all (well nearly all) like that when we first started.
But time, treatment, disillusionment and a whole host of other things has battered any enthusiasm I had for this job out of me a long time ago. I come in, do my job and go home, and in between, I laugh at the newbies running themselves ragged for a boss and company that really couldn't give 2 f***s if we lived or died, and when I do die, will use the opportunity to do nothing more than replace me with some poor unfortunate on less money, give them more work, who will then look at someone like you and call you old, lazy and a piss taker. Despite the fact that, if it wasn't for people like us, doing our jobs right and protecting them for ingrates like you, you may not even have a job.
And, one other thing, many senior guys would be perfectly willing to leave because they've had enough of this company and upstarts like you, give them a decent VR/EVR pay off and you wouldn't see them for dust. Then your workload will go up again, and we can complain our mail deliveries are getting even later.
