i believe so, as this is the 3rd year of the deal that was struck in 2010 or 2011 after all the strikes.

dont hold your breath, f we get one it will be minimal and we wont find out about it until near xmas as usual so will have to be back paid again.

2010 2011 2012 this is 2013 the fourth year no deal as yet

The 3rd year of the previous deal came and went April last year. They are currently negotiating I believe. But most are of the opinion that the initial offer will be shite, and it's likely we still won't have a rise any time soon. One of the lads I work with reckons we'll be striking at Xmas.

To be honest, I think by then we'll be fighting for a lot more than a pay rise, and if we don't fight we'll lose so much more than a few quid.

There will be a four page letter to members sent out after the Easter Holidays. The first page will be a letter to members and then a page on priviatisation , a page on unfair regulation and then a page on work related issues including pay.

The union wants a no strings deal either one or two years above inflation which was 3.2% in march , an increase in overtime payments over and above the normal flow through , a productivity scheme and a conclusion to the replacement to colleague share.

Unsurprising Royal Mail want a deal with strings tied to performance standards.

Whilst pay is important some of the other issues will have far more of an impact on terms and conditions then a payrise of approximately 10 or 12 pounds per week.

Because depots are relying on o/t more than ever after after revisions that do not account for how the new delivery methods are slower and how we are dealing with more parcels that ever before, perhaps? Those willing and happy to bail out the depots after what are long contractual hours (for most, not all, admittedly) deserve a better reward for o/t, in my eyes anyway.

Because After the BT2010 "Deal of the Century" fiasco, the CWU are cluching at straws, and will promise almost anything to get people back onside. There's a growing number of members who are dissilusioned.
The CWU is planning a strike, but they'll only call it if they're sure they'll get a YES vote, thus the smoozzing with members.
Problems have been flagged up for the past 3 years, but no action, only joint statements about working together with RM.
Now suddenly, they want to step away from their cosy relationship with royal mail and come back to the members again.

Question is, If they come back to the members, how long before they go back to wooing Moya & RM again

The CWU left the members, Not the other way around.
