accident on duty

hi,all
i triggered a stage 3 back in september, the outcome ended with a stage 2 being re issued. but on friday i slipped on delivery and now i have a slipped disc causing me to go on the sick again
my question is can this go against me with it being a accident on duty. thankyou

Depends if they decide you were wholly or partly to blame.
Were you wearing correct footwear? Were you running? Climbing over fences? Carrying overweight bags? That sort of thing.
If not then the AOD shouldn't count against you.

There are many factors which could be have played a part in your AOD. If the root cause analysis indicates at least one of your actions were a cause then you can wave goodbye to it being discounted from the Attendance Procedure.

If you were not wearing the correct footwear and/or PPE, did your Manager ensure that you were issued with, and in possession of, such items prior to leaving the unit? If the conditions under foot required for you to be wearing spikeys and/or chains, you were wearing them and they were in usable condition, then you may have a good case to put forward.

similar accident but fortunately no lasting damage but apparently my AOD was my fault because I should have known the presscrete drive was dangerous so attnedence procedure applied!! Good luck with slipped disc hope you get well soon
