the rep said today that its very likely or probable that rm will hold out for as long as possible for a payrise settlement, then when the planned boycott of the downstream access is due to start, they will make a ''reasonable'' offer (i.e. 12-15 quid rise) on the understanding that no boycott takes place.... i thought royal mail were for the boycott? any thoughts

The pension increase was not worth a light this year so i can't see the pay rise being any better if we get one at all. RM are under no obligation to increase our pay as there is no agreement currently in place

I thought there was a 3 percent pay rise in the agreement? After our shares robbery and the bosses increase in there bonuses ,and the rest of the crazy ness well,,,. We've no had a penny of the revision money yet either , any info folkies?

that agreement was for 3 years which finished last april we,ve no feckin chance this year of a rise as dingo said union want straightfoward pay rise rm want it with strings and ropes attached

I believe there are talks going on but neither side has/is willing to reveal information. Personally think we'll be waiting a while before the talks are resolved. No idea what we'll have to agree to to get even a below decent offer.

Well RM is in profit now so they can't use that as an excuse any more. Time will tell I guess!

I'd be very surprised if there wasn't a payrise seen as 1. RM have been boasting how brilliant they are posting a profit this year and 2. they will possibly want to sweeten us up for any impending privatisation

I'm expecting the same as a few years ago drag it out until October, we get a pittance of a pay rise without back pay to April annoyed me no end when they shafted us that year, we still haven't actually had a pay rise since wages haven't gone above what we received in d2d payments, so yeah I expect the same again.

Oh don't worry it will be low enough for the usual oracles on here to expound what a marvellous triumph of negotiation it has been - well 10 - 15% would be a triumph - 1.5% .......................about what it will be
