Wow up till last year this was loss making all of a sudden its making £80 million profit and its part of our DNA ..ooh do I smell a rat because of our threat of not wanting to deliver it

I saw the video at WTLL.

It said made £80million but I don't think it was specific that it was profit but it definitely gave the impression it was PROFIT - I doubt it;

Revenue means jack if it is not profit. We have seen big companies making lots of money suddenly go bust

Saying 80million without context is useless.

Say for example that was 80million pure profit (which I very much doubt). But, over the past 10 years they have lost 500million on dsa over all the years. So they are still 420million down.

RM are trying it on to avoid the boycott.

I think they are trying to push the debate towards it's intended target.
The boycott isn't about DSA,it's about end to end competition.

RM are looking for that elusive of all things - a level playing field. Competitors forced to comply with the same restrictions that RM is - they're not going to get it but they might make it more difficult. If they don't get it they may be able to persuade the regulator that there should be a clause to make the competition pay a levy to RM on the volume of mail they deliver.
