How exactly is this meant to be a safer and easier way of working? I had my duty set up 9 years ago so I wouldn't be carrying heavy bags. Pushing a 90kg trolley in the wind is not safer or easier. The idiots who designed the trolleys and agreed to using them have just made my job harder than it already is. 6 weeks ago I was walking an average of 18 hours a week, now i'm walking 23.......
A few month ago I went to the doctors as I was having bother with my left foot, it was royal mails cheap and nasty shoes that was the problem. The doctor told me I had a bunion and that I had to get shoes that wouldn't irritate it. I got a pair (which has enraged my manager) and ATOS say ist fine to wear them, so I thought that would be the end of it. This extra 50 minutes a day is too much, my left foot is giving me grief. I'm going for a x ray on my foot next week to see how bad it is. Health and safety
Anyway I have a few questions on this subject since its all smoke and mirrors in my office.
Does the duty have to be a mile before getting a van?
If so then why does a duty which is closer to the office get one and not me?.
Is there a limit to the amount of time you spend each day walking?
Does the manager get any bonuses for getting in as many trolleys as possible?
Who's the guy that decides if a duty is a van or a trolley?
Can you refuse to use a trolley?
