Employee Survey 2013 starts today

Today we’re launching the 2013 RMG Employee Survey - and it’s really important that you tell us your views.

Employees will either receive an paper survey or an e-mail containing a link to complete the survey on-line.

Why it’s so important

Building a more successful company requires everyone to work together and share their views. That’s why it’s important that everyone takes part, wherever they work within the company.

Moya Greene, chief executive, says: ‘It is vital that you all continue to share your views so that we can continue to improve. I need your help to make this company the best delivery and marketing mail business in the UK.’

All answers will be treated with utmost confidentiality by both Ipsos MORI and Royal Mail Group.

Last year 69% of our people took part. We hope more people will take part this year. The survey will be open until Friday 5 April.

Changes


The changes we put in place since the last employee survey enabled us to:

• Assess levels of engagement
• Use the data to encourage action planning and follow-up at a local level
• Have external benchmarks with other UK large organisations as well as unionised and non-unionised organisations

Our DOM got into a strop as she wanted us to rush it last Saturday before we went on delivery, but there's a lot of bad feeling toward the DOM in our office so we said we wanted to take them home or at least have more time to do them.
We don't trust enough that they would not be looked at or the really bad ones sent off.

We will probably be asked to fill them in tomorrow, but surely it would be our right to take them home and post them ourselves if we so wished wouldn't it?

Did mine today. I can only think this will make for sobering reading once the computer spits out the results. A unanimously pissed off workforce post P&L.

don't forget that you are allowed 20 minutes to complete it and also NEVER hand them to your manager as there is a trust issue here

A small article in the last issue of the courier stated that you can take them away and fill them out at home

If we don't bin it,they shred it so same result,nobody takes a blind bit of notice,next month it will be announced in the courier that it was a great success and everybody is happy,a couple of pictures of some smiling moron's and a little note to remind us that mail is down.

I always fill mine in away from any prying eyes, and put it in a post box. Many times my manager has said 'just give it to me and I'll sent them off all in one go'. Don't think so, don't trust you. I know some won't fill them in, but I would urge those people to change their minds and do so. Will get our general feelings accross, although, as per usual, I fully expect zero action will be taken in response to what RM 'learn' from the survey.

Hopefully, the results would get out to the press and reveal to the wider public our feelings and opinions of RM as a company.
