Paternity Leave...

My partner is being induced tomorrow sat 16th, my line manager said i will be back at work on the sat 30th. Im just checking that he is correct, because only been in the job a few months and been stiched up a fair amount of times, not bothered about the pay would prefer more time at home with the family. Was hoping to have this off as id be off easter sunday/monday, any help would be fantastic.

it seems correct paternity leave has changed recently sure you get 14days paid leave if so then your line manager is correct with what he has said. just worth checking with personnel to be safe contact details on back of wage slip

There are two kinds of Paternity Leave Ordinary and Additional.

If, as often the case, your partner has to call in the morning to see what time she has to go to the hospital cant you go into work and leave early. As you were in work and left early your paternity would start on Monday and run 2 weeks from there? I could be wrong but its a thought..

If there are bank holidays during your paternity leave are the paternity days added on extra?or do you lose the paternity day due do the bank holiday?
