If strike does come of this the union should be asking its workers to stay for 1 week at a time(not if law would prevent this). 1 day strikes are no good because the mail just gets shifted early. Plus it may also give CWU more strength in the workplace, something they have lost through shabby deals of late.
Plus workers would be sending a message to rm that the union is still vital in the workplace.

work to rule, no overtime, quite easy really.
no need for a strike and also i still beleave we wont never get a decent vote again for strike action them days have gone due to spineless agreements in the last few years.the next national vote will be against our union not royal mail.
our union should start talking to the reps to find out what the feeling is like in offices before looking for strike action.

problem with this is all the boot lickers go above and beyond, so strike action is always more affective

problem with this is all the boot lickers go above and beyond, so strike action is always more affective

yes you may get a few boot lickers but atleast this would prove who they are.as for strike action it just does not seem the way to go nowdays and with a tory goverment they would love to rip up our contracts, carry on working but just have a complete overtime ban and work our times.royal mail is run on overtime its the only way it works.
also a complete national strike would lose us the customers support and start the papers on how s**t the posties are.
anyway what ever happens i hope tony garrick gets reinstated good luck to him.

Duns is too small an office for a work to rule to have any real affect.
Across the branch...maybe but i've seen them come and go and i've yet to see any work.
