PROCESSING OFFER - 6 month Postman with Driving

So, a 6 month 'Postman with driving' job with 20 hours a week came up at my local DO, and I decided to apply. Here's the schedule of what has happened so far:

04 Feb 13 - Completed initial application online.
15 Feb 13 - Received e-mail inviting me to book an interview.
26 Feb 13 - Attended interview. I was interviewed by the DOM from another local sorting office - he told me he was lending a hand with the interviews. Anyway, it seemed to go well - all my documents were in order and the interview must have lasted about an hour. He explained to me that the DO was undergoing a reform that week and al the existing postmen would be allocated their walks etc. and the job I was going for would be for everything left over. He then warned me that actually, it looked like the contract would be for less than 20 hours a week but he assured me that in his experience, there would be plenty of opportunities for extra work.

Anyway, the status of my application online remained as 'INTERVIEW BOOKED' for quite a while until a couple of days ago when it changed to 'ATTENDED INTERVIEW'.
Then, this morning, I got a phone call from a pleasant sounding Indian chap who wanted to clarify with me whether or not I was still working for my current employer. I'm not really - I don't work there, but I never quit and I still do the odd shift to cover for people who are off sick - but we're talking a couple of shifts a month max. Anyway, he said that technically I still work for them, but it wasn't a problem - he said he was just missing that info on my application, so needed to clarify, and it posed no problem to my application anyway.
Oh, and this was funny - I put on my application form that I can speak French and Italian fluently and he even gave me a mini test over the phone, by asking what a word meant in Italian wasn't a problem, but was quite unexpected!

Anyway, about an hour later (so still this morning) I got an e-mail congratulating me and telling me that I had passed my interview and my application had gone on to the next stage. The application status on the website changed to 'PASSED INTERVIEW'. Now, this afternoon, it has changed to 'PROCESSING OFFER'.

So, what does that mean? 'PROCESSING OFFER'? From what I gather from snooping around this forum, this usually happens after you pass the checks they do on you, but I haven't had any checks yet.

Anyway, can anyone tell me what's going on? Bit confused!

I expect it means they will be writing to you soon with an offer of a job and relevant details, hours and location etc. Prepare for the same level of management 'ability' when you start your job.

Thanks for the answers guys - yesterday I got an e-mail officially offering me the position providing I pass the security checks. The application status has now changed to PROCESSING SECURITY CHECKS DS - had a nosey around the forums, so it seems I can expect to wait a couple of weeks and then get contacted regarding my induction.
