Once again the d2d problem............you have loads of time to prep them, but you may not have enough time to deliver them, so advise your lino you're going to cut off, leave the problem to him!

Delivering I have time for, no time to make them up. We start half 8 with our sequenced in. We have to have our 30 min break and be out the door for 10. Just doesn't happen, doesn't help others are working before their time and making d2ds up in their spare time.

Yup but it's only been this past few months that things are going overboard. IB suspending folks for not locking vans, leaving trollies for not following procedures etc. While the revisions were getting put in things were a bit more relaxed (not much that said). This is kinda the last warning now and management have become tyrannical. If you have any excess d2ds on ur frame at the end of the week now u get a conduct meeting.

Yup well to explain the whole problem, and I understand a lot of it may be caused by the fact our office isn't very well organised just now: I come in at half 8. My trays of sequenced are ran in that's it. Have to do primary, flats, packets (sorting in our office is shocking which adds on more time). We then have to have our break before we leave at 10. The walks in question are 20 mins away from the office.

We now have our revision so we have to work with a partner. I've been with the company 8 years and don't have a duty. The people I'm paired with (most have come in the door after me and were given duties as they started as 25 hr contracts) are on the same duty every day and have been for 8-10 years. The frames are wrong. Not just slightly wrong, u have to tie full frames up back to front and upside down etc. Anyway they obviously tie up quicker. The next factor is that some of the duties afetr the full revision are deemed as high risk and remain bag duties so you can't carry all the mail in one go.

To be honest, as I'm writing this I'm reading it too and I'm quickly realising exactly what the problem is lol.

I don't want to be critical in any way. But you have repeated that you have to leave by 10.00am, But why 10.00am? Why not 10.15 or 10.25am and when you are ready.. then cut off if need be.

Sometimes we leave the office at 10.30 or beyond but finish time is still the same; probably like yours - 2.48pm. I had a partner once that came dead on his time but then got the hump for being put on a different round to the rota and moaned and moaned to manager, said he stressed and went for a cuppa and cleared his head. I had to go out and do 2 loops before him and came back for him at 11.00am. I claimed OT for it - we do get on: I was on his side...

What I am saying is that, you sounded like there is no Flexibility about your leaving time...?

Okay sorry it's 10.15am were supposed to be starting our walk at I believe. Finish time is half 2 (I assume that were supposed to be in our office at half 2 but not entirely sure). One of the major factors we also have in our office that slows us down now is our wave 2a mail which we sometimes need to wait till 9.45 for and can sometimes be 1-2 trays of sequenced.

I think you have just answered your own question.....FOR NOT FOLLOWING PROCEEDURES. All you have to do is follow there procedures and given time they will realise their procedures just don't feckin work... If you do cut corners and make mistakes by rushing around and the are basic mistakes you make , you will get suspended or sacked DONT RUSH, DONT MAKE MISTAKES , DONT GET SACKED .....
