Park and Loop - Designed To Fail.

My theory is Park and Loop was from its conception designed to fail. Why -
Nu 1 priority is to privatize Royal Mail. But you cannot privatize Royal Mail when it is making a profit because this is called public accountability.
So you devise a system of working which will purposely result in Royal Mail losing money and thus getting into debt. Now that would mean its in the publics best interest to sell off this bad asset. No public accountability.
Nu 2 priority is to divide and conquer the work force. Easily done by changing working practices. Heres a few -
You cannot leave your frame to collect you ips mail as a selected porter will bring it to you - if hes slow you will dislike him for making you late out.
You have to take a break at a arranged time regardless of if you want one or not - this will annoy you if you prefer a break when out on delivery.
Spend money on planners and outside consultants at a very large cost. - which are not necessary
Spend large amounts of money on a geo-route system - which is incompetent.
Force all round to take all packets - The once regular packet driver is no redundant and annoyed.
Increase size of delivery - making it impossible to do
Purchase vans that need MOT, Insurance, Tax and Diesel - See profits decrease
Hope the staff book lots and lots of overtime - See profit decrease
Try to cut back on overtime - creating confusion
Hope staff cut off leaving a black log of mail giving the company a bad image - Our DOM actively encourages us to cut off

Park and Loop is failing and will continue to fail. It has been designed to fail so the powers that be can sell the company off as a bad debt.

We're leasing the majority of our vehicles now motch..
It's just a guess but I think a ball park figure would be somewhere around £1,500 per vehicle per annum for a Bipper ,maybe as much as £2,000 with maintenance thrown in.

..possibly (van + 2 salaries vs 2 bikes + 2 salaries and the extra dedicated packet van and salary divided by 4 - to cover the 8 rounds (fact))
but from where I'm looking 'a van with 2 trolleys' doesn't equal '2 bikes and a van with the extra dedicated packet salary'
when the 'van with the extra dedicated packet salary' is required to continue and 'extras' are brought in to complete...
