P&L resign

Looks like our P&L resign is going to be fairly soon so would like to know how its done... lots of rumours flying around the office about it.

Rumour 1, Drivers get first pick according to their seniority then the partners pick

Rumour 2, Its all done 100% on seniority of the worker.

Rumour 3, 2 drivers can't be on the same duty if needed to complete duo elsewhere

Rumour 4, You get who you get even if its your worst enemy tuff sh%t

At my office it went like this - the first 2 senior got the nearest HCT walks outside the office then the next EIGHT senior all full timers was paired with the best pick then it came full timer/part timer. One full timer I know has been there 14 years and he only got a floating duty yet a part timer that has been there 18 months got a walk, its a farce then later on along the way when a partner is off on leave or sick they tend to let the partner that is in do the one walk on his/her own.Its like everything else when it it suits them it goes.

Ours was done on Seniority, the drivers pick driving duties the walkers obviously the non driving duties........when the duties run out the rest become rest day/week covers or reserves. We also have some part timers who have duties due to there not being enough indoor work

Its done on seniority. Unless you have a senior man picking the none driving part of a shared van then the other person MUST be a driver

i got crapped on,,,,,dom,,,union and area rep,,,all told us the way our resign was to go like this.....

approx 50 duties in total ....5 singletons (1 man in a van)
the rest 2 man sharing,,,,and the floater for each group

our resign is half way through at the moment....
they got the most senior to pick then went from there...

now there at 28 picked they stop on the full timers and move over to part timers for the 12 most senior part timers to pick.

none of these have seniority to me

so thats 40 duties picked,,,they then move back to the full timers 29th onwards i happen to be in the early 30`s but working it out
i end up a reserve...

ive held a walk for years but they want 25% part time to hold walks,,,some of these 25% or 12 partimers has 7-8 years less seniority to me,,,,,

this job stinks sometimes
