1st day not using my car

well i just want to say today was the first time i didnt use my car so went in office said i aint using my car no more can i have a bike and a helmet he said ill have to order you a helmet so you cant have a bike till then no problem

had me break before manager took me to my round so got to my round but before i left i did say i would do my flex if ive got time wen i get back but alas i had to keep walking back to the one and only bag drop which takes time

and office is 2 miles away which i had to walk back got back to office at 2.25 which means i was 5 mins over anyway im almost certain that they cant do nothing as i was over my time but just wanting to check from you guys

ive made a stand now i will go by the book ill come in bang on duty time im only on a fixed term contract but i should do the job way its meant to be done they cant kick me out the door for that can they

Making a stand is easy, keeping it up is harder!!

Bottom line is.... it is RM responsibility to Get you to and from your walk.... anyone using theyre cars for delivery STOP IT FOR FU#K SAKE....

your manager should never of let you leave the office on a bike without a helmet you can be conduct coded for not wearing a helmet and your manager will say he knew nothing about it you should refuse to ride a bike without a helmet at the end of the day its down to you

I think he is aware of that. Manager refused to give him a bike till the helmet arrives, and the manager took him out (presumably in his car) and he walked back to the office. Good points though if you are using a bike.

No but you have to be prepared for the fact that it will make you a target and any genuine mistake you make or any dodgy practice will probably be jumped on by management so the real answer to your question has anybody been sacked for doing the job properly would be not directly but i'm sure it's been the underlying motivation in a few conduct cases.

I suppose the message is if you are going to do the job properly make sure you do the whole thing properly,not just the bits that suit you.

yeah well the manager keeps following me lol seen him the last 3 days on my round and he made a point of stopping saying have you used the car today as someone come tome and said that you have said no have a loook when ya back at office me grey corsa 61 plate parked up think it is harrassment tho im keeping a diary of it tho
