Finding out what stage or if on a stage?

hey

jus a quick question, i was on a stage 2 issued in august 2011, so in 2012 does my record clear completely or do i knock back down to a stage one? managers havent informed me and dont no, my cwu rep sed it all clears and shudnt be on a stage, since then ive had time off 3 days, and had to call in sick today so do i start again from the 14 days?

so my question is how can i find out as managers sed they dont no how to?

From the details posted as long as the 3 days was one absence then you should have cleared all stages.

Again if the 3 days was within the last 12 months then you will be on 2 absences and 3+ days. The stage 1 kicks in when you exceed 14 days total absences or 4 separate absences even if less than 14 days in total, over a 12 month rolling period.

i cleared the stage in august 2012, i think well didnt have a day off on my record for a year, and since then had 3 days off as 1 absence and had to have today off, so i would be clear of all stages not reverted back to stage one? also this time im off from today will class as 2 absences ?

how do you get confimation of the cleared stages? as i havent herd nothing and managers wont tll me?

You won't - I never have. Its a tactic to keep you guessing and in their mind stop throwing unnecessary sickies.

thats wha im thinking, and hoping but i went a year from when it was issued till august 2012 when it was up so they deffo clear both stages? is that 100%

surely you can phone hr in sheffield for updates on stage warnings
or a print out of your abscences

But that implies they know how to use the computer! My manager couldn't even work out how to order uniform on it!

If you go a full year without a day's sick all stages are cleared no matter which one you're on you go back to zero.

You used to be able to phone HR to request your sick record but they stopped this a couple of years ago, I did discover however your line manager can print off your sick for the last 12 months only though.
