I got a 739 and was trying to arrange redelivery through my local office. Not being near a PC I called to number on the card, pressed option 4 and waited. I waited until it rang off. This happened on and off for 5 hours.

No, my understanding is that postage rates are set to include an element for redelivery, return to sender, etc.

1 Delivery attempt, 1 Return to sender AFAIK, No re-delivery in the basic price of a stamp.

And why not?
It's like an eat as much as you like buffet.

It should be the law. If you're not in. You have to go to the delivery office to pick up.

Yes we used to have this 3 rule but then someone decided there was no factual basis for the rule and so now it is as many as you like.
Probably coming to an office very near you in the very near future.

Some services a business offers at no cost because it enhances the customers perception of value for money in the basic product.
In the last month i must have P739'd at least 200 items.
I've had 2 redeliveries in that time.
It's not likely to bankrupt us.
