Was there any indoor work that they could have done or any absorption or lapsing they could have taken out? The manager is probably using the "using of all paid hours" bit from one of the agreements (P&M?)

Management are going to the use fact that they had no households because they were late - yet completed and finished early.

What is so sad, is that if they had followed procedure and asked management what to do, or even put the D2Ds in their arses would have been covered.


I suppose 1 culture change we all need to make, including me, is not that we have too much to do in the hours that we have and we must try to sort it out ourselves, but that there is not enough hours aligned with the workload and let management sort out that particular conundrum.

I had my jobsworth new DOM moan at me for bringing a 1st class missort back on saturday.
When I said "are you going to have a go at the early starters who go out before everyone else has finished and leave about 20 internal redi's and missorts behind"

I don't know the full facts but they have only themselves to blame ,job and finish is done why didn't they take their time,fill the van up clean it out,go back round with the 739's anything rather than sit at home for 2 hours,when will people learn.

Shouldnt have any ramifications for the majority that do the job properly imo. Whats "clearing out on saturday" mean?

Why did they not do their D2ds? On completion of all indoor work, if they were late and unsure whether they could complete, they should have then notified management and got instructions on what to do. Surely all indoor work including D2ds should be prepped every day to leave a clear frame. If there are any overruns then the mail is bagged and ready for someone else to deliver. Looks like they have not played the game properly.
