People staring

On a new walk,been on it about 6 weeks,while on delivery i'm finding that the locals seem to stare at me while im delivering,finding it a bit unnerving,the people on my last round were quite friendly,has anyone else experienced this on a new round?

Yes I get a lot of people staring but I don't think it's because I'm new, more like because I'm a woman postie and they're not used to seeing women delivering. I've even had people comment, 'I've not seen a lady postman before' or 'You're pretty for a post lady' which was my favourite.

I don't know about anyone else, but I also get stopped at least 2 or 3 times every day with people asking directions.

It's just 'the locals' (coming to a cinema near you..)

No i don't,it's quite a closed knit community,so maybe they just don't like strangers,very weird though.

Yeah this tends to happen with old people on my round. It was wierd at first but now as i pass them i just give a cheery MORNING and go on my way. Another thing is people slowing down in cars as they pass. I am normally waiting for the "have you a packet for me" but some just drive off. Wierd

YEs, people stare all the time, I also find some people are extremely fascinated by the LWT. It's like amaaaazing.
