SA bonus

Despite 24 years service, I can't for the life of me work out/ remember when the SA bonus is paid out? I know we get two a year, but assuming it is the same in every office, anyone know when it is?

For those that work Scheduled Attendance (SA) there are 2 payments/year to make up for the money they are losing by not working overtime during their hols.

Indeed, a small but welcome recognition by Royal Mail of the 'extra mile' some of us go to in covering those vital tasks that attract payment of SA.

I have only just completed my first year within royal mail but have easily done over 100hr in s/a

You get it automatically in your wages.

SA is not normal overtime - the easiest way to describe it is contracted regular overtime.

It would be unusual to get SA within your first year - I am in double digits and have never done SA, I think it usually comes as a result of a revision.

Just clear it up is this 100 hours SA for going over, working your day off etc - if so then its not at SA but is "Pressure overtime".

The overtime that i have been doing is a collection. im contracted to do an extra 6hr a week but usually do 9 average.

I have been told this is classed as an S/A but correct me if im wrong (still new to some of this).

I join last April but did not start S/A until June i was told by HR i need to work a year until i get an S/A bonus but not sure if that ment work a year and not earn the bonus or the whole year will be back dated?

to part time staff on say 20 hours and they go in early every week to prep and sort etc, is that SA for them? and is the bonus paid out ur total number of SA hours divided by the weeks worked?

I get it at SA rate yes. Its higher rate of pay. Im on 25 hour contract but do about 32 hours basic...with 1 or 2 SAs on top....and yes I got bonus payment last year.
