hi want a answer to a question

as its really important for two of my collegues

two part timers applied for full time jobs 2 weeks ago they got the dutys and 1 driving 1 walking everything was fine till today

and they have said now that the dutys have become part time so there hours will drop to what they was previously on if the previous full timers was on those jobs they would deffo still be full time

this stinks are they allowed to do this

the 2 ppl on these dutys are seriously pissed off as had 2 weeks of full time money now gotta go to part time its a joke

There are two issues.
Issue 1 is the treatment of the two members and issue 2 is the removal of hours from the office without agreement.

Issue 1 should be dealt with by the individual grievance procedure and issue 2 by the use of the IR Framework.

Yes.
It is unfortunately unlikely the rep will be able to help the part-timers unless they were promised full-time contracts to match the duties, picking a duty that was done by a full-timer is not the same as picking a full-time duty however if the members were led to believe this then that is in itself unfair.
The big question is where are the full-time hours going?

Were they given new contracts?
Assuming a revision triggered the resign, were all p/t staff made full-time for a few weeks?

Has anyone still got a copy of the advert?
Was their full-time wages a top line f/t wage or was it p/t wage + overtime to make up the hours?
