Royal Mail Gyms

Does anyone here go to one of the gyms that Royal Mail provide. They all seem to be around £10 a month, which seems very cheap.

Are they only open during the 'supervised hours' or can you go at other times, just without there being gym staff there? Because Mount Pleasant is only open 11-7, and I'd want to be going before 11 most days.

yeah they're definitely more convenient for Mail Centre staff. Our DO would have plenty space for one. That empty canteen for a start.

Typical look after the mail centre staff gyms staffed canteens hot cookec food parking air conditioned. Most delivery postmen work in old run down undersized and under invested offices

i think the mail centre has one, the local delivery office shut down theres, due to more 2000 frames being installed

Pay £10 per month !!!!!, I get RM to pay me £10p/h to get me fit, they have me on this tread mill thingy thats about 6 miles long, the only catch is, i have to keep jumping off to put mail thru the letter boxes

funny, there are 5 gyms in the South East around the London area but none on the South coast at all

But if we are going to change it, then we have to base our arguments on facts and not supposition.

The FACTS are: We do not get paid anything for D2Ds - Delivery Supplement is paid for doing work in the Deliveries Sector of Royal Mail.

Just remember that it was voted in and us on delivery outnumber those in the MC so really the fault lies with us.
