Joined The Union

I have joined the union. With a revision coming up in a few months and having been on 3 month fixed term contracts for over two years I am expecting my rep/dom to turn me into a permanent member of staff. Oh I am not making the payment to the labour party but am paying £3.63 a week which seems a lot is this the right amount when I'm on 35 hours?

For a full-timer,which you will be classed as on a 35 hour week, with the opt-out from the Labour Party you're subs should be £3.23 per week.

Well I joined but didnt get a payslip this week so can't check my deduction. Not sure if it is worth paying the money yet but I can always cancel (if my new rep is s**t).

Remember you are the union ,if the union rep is telling you not to come in before your time ,take your break,dont be running round and u do all them things dont be blaming the union or the rep

You cant be that specific. You can opt out of paying into the Policitcal Fund which means they can't use your money for ANY political activity.
