Can any one tell me if there is anything that can be done to stop people starting before their official start time , in some cases more than 1 hour 30 mins. Perhaps on health and saftey or insurance grounds. I did think may be it could be looked at as a form of harrasment ie people who start on time feeling behind all the time and under pressure because of the early starters. It has reached epidemic proportions in our office.

There's nothing you can do and if you 'talk' to those people then you could find yourself up on a B&H charge.

My advice, just do your own job and if the manager brings it up why you're later than everyone else then calmly point out that you're a bit later because you start at your normal time and if they want to compare your times then get the others to come in at the same time, it's their job to manage not yours.

Next round of savings in your office just point your Dom over to the intellectually challenged table.
Easy pickings there surely.

They will make savings , cut duties ,cut hours increase door to door etc. People will moan then still come in early and use their own cars , not claim overtime because they are scared to book it etc etc etc.

its simple you are not insured to start before your time. but the numptys who do are working for free so managers are laughing all the way, saying thanks for the free labour heres some more lapsing for you.

thats what i find hard to understand here,,,,,we were stopped about 6 months ago,,,and nobody is allowed to start work before your time,,,if you do your taken in the office "ooo err"

Actually we are all supposed to be working together.
For a revision to work, you have to understand what your starting point is.
Unpaid overtime doesn't help anyone.
Ultimately if just f***s everything up.

Myself and van share partner would get our rounds ready for banding up, redi's done deads delt with, go for a 20 min break, when we came back from our break other folks who came in early would have left the building ...... but it us that were slow and had to speed up,we had got a problem. We explained about folk coming in early not taking breaks but he just did not get it, just walked off and told us to speed up. On the other hand at the end of the working day these folk claimed 40 min break {they did not take any break before going out} we claimed the other 20 mins ..... he did not say these are only claiming 20 mins why are you claiming 40 and not 20 like these are. can't do right for doing wrong
