I'm only a few months away from being off work for year.I'm on half pay with the DWP giving me an allowance every two weeks.
According to my doctor I will still be unable to work for at least the next six months or longer.ATOS had said that I could do rehab through work,something that both my doctor and physio have strongly advised me against.
I cant even do light duties.To be honest my DOM hasnt even offered me this anyway!
What will happen when the year is up.Do the Royal mail cancel my contract or do they have to make an offer of IHR?

Usually it would be IHR but I guess it depends on what is wrong with you.
Regarding pay if you're in the pension scheme you would get sick pay at pension rate and I guess you are on ESA so that would continue as well.

Be ready for anything if your d o m is anything like mine,after being off 8 months he asked me to a meeting one friday and told me if i did'nt come back to work on ,monday i would have to finish that week !!!

IHR has been recommended by ATOS, that would seem to be it now.
Just have to wait for the DOM to contact me.
Pity my years at RM have ended this way but my condition is just not improving.
I've got at least another year of treatment to look forward to :(
A complete change of career now,I've been re training at college. Something I started a few years ago.
Good job I did! A few job opportunity's are there in the field I've studied. Maybe this has been a blessing in disguise.
I'll keep looking here time to time.
