our office rep told everyone this morning that he didn't think it was worth going on strike and that he didn't intend to do so thereby splitting our office down the middle with regards to striking. has this happened anywhere else.

How pathetic..
I, like many others have got a mortgage and I've got a kid on the way and a house in desperate need of work doing to it, but I will still be out on strike!

I'd rather scrimp and save and struggle rather than just sit back and take all the s**t that those two arseholes at the top want to throw at us.

I have edited part of your post as we do not accept personal abuse from anyone on here and when seen Mod will delete it as they see fit. However, why so nasty he said nothing personal and merely stated what happened. OK everyone else was a bit near the knuckle but Roonny did not get personal with you so why did you with him. If you are the Union rep in question you have to accept some flack if you are going against the unions national position, even if the reason is an honourable one.

Do you think no one else has a family and kids ? if you really think this strike is about money (pay offer) you obviously havent read about the pensions and how much you stand to lose there, it really gets to me their are so many idiots out there using every little excuse to scab yes scab, just remember every ones in the same boat and to use your kids as an excuse is pathetic.

I AM BASHING MY HEAD AGAINST THE WALL WITH MANAGERS AT THE MOMENT AND TRYING TO GET STAFF TOGETHER TO FIGHT THIS
HOLDING MEETINGS ETC AND THEN REPS LIKE THIS ARE GOING TO DESTROY ALL I HAVE WORKED FOR!!
