Pay advice

Having a debate with a colleague who's office has went through their revision this week, i.e started on monday. He has been moved from a 25 hour contract to a 33 hour contract. He got his payslip today which showed only 25 hours yet he is contracted to do the 33 this week. He said we are paid in arrears whereas i thought it was only OT paid in arrears. Who's correct and is there any documents on here that would support my claim if i'm correct?

Only overtime is paid in arrears.
His contract has not been changed.
That may just be a mistake by HR or it may be that his manager is only making his hours up on a temporary basis using overtime until the revision beds in.
Best way to find out...speak to the manager.

Thanks. I did suggest to him that the manager may be using overtime to make up the hours but he still insists that we are paid in arrears. He couldn't grasp that we are not a week in arrears except where overtime is concerned. Any documentation on here which shows how we are paid?
