Hi,
Just to do with d2d's - when you start putting the d2d's in 1/6 of the frame in the morning, do you take the leftover d2d's from the previous days 1/6 and put them into todays section, or do you have to leave them there all week until they eventually have mail in their slot? sometimes i see people with d2d's all over their frame which look leftover but then others will never had any in their frame at all apart from the 1/6 for that day so i dont quite understand why it differs.
Also when it comes to saturday and you have plenty of d2d's leftover what do you do with them all?

some people take the whole of their 1/6th every day, others like me will prep in the 1/6th but only take the ones where theyre delivering to that day and deliver the other ones when those houses gets mail. Normally on a Friday I take all the D2Ds from houses I havent gotten to yet to leave it clear for Saturday.
Remember to not leave them in frame for the cover person to do on your rest day, make sure frame is clear for them.
You must deliver a D2D to each delivery point for the week (unless a customer has opted out), you cant just not deliver their D2D because they didnt have mail on the day you prepped them in the frame.

yes, and thats what you're "supposed" to do - 20% per day , so long as you get them done over the week the managers wont care how you get it done, so long as its done.

There will be issues "going forward" about leaving D2D in the frame,it's a quality thing that WCM stomps all over,clear frame check and all that.
Personally,i just do the whole 16% and don't leave anything in.
Less chance of the fuckupability factor creeping in.
Rural's are a different story,stupid to drive half a mile down a farm track with only D2D.

Fish; Surely it matters not a jot whether it is a half mile or 3 yards. If RM wish us to do a sixth a day then that should be done.

so you have to take a fixed set of streets per day?
i take at least 1/6 per day and some, and leave the ones i'm not going to there (mostly single slots)
i even try to do my covers if i can if its my sat off and they get paid more than me for them!

Unless he is a new starter or trialist then he doesn't.

He probably thinks they do because they get more Delivery Supplement but is ignorant of the fact that we all get paid the same hourly rate up to 39 hours inclusive of the supplement. I have checked this out with a Part Timer in my office who does a lot of overtime and he usually has three rates of pay on his chit.

1. Normal wage with DS separate
2. Normal Wage + (to include hours above contract to 39 hours AND delivery Supplement) appears as "Weekday Overtime @SSPR"
3. Overtime first 10 hours over 39 - No DS

i'm 34hrs, covers are 39hrs, i get the delivery supplement pro rata

the duty holder will prep most of them the day before he is off so the reserve gets a s**t load to do,but its mostly single slots
