Hi all,

Has anyone got any tips on picking the model week?

Any advice taken.

Review traffic volume for the past 52 weeks
Remove weeks affected by Bank Holidays Christmas Any other special event
Compare the average of June-July (wks 11-17) and January (weeks 41-44)
Select the lower of these two averages (unless there is some special reason why this would not be appropriate)
Compare your model week (including D2D) against the most recent traffic period
If traffic volumes have fallen further, adjust to allow for the effect of the decline

The one with most packets gives the most indoor hours :Very Happy

Packets generate more workload per item than any other stream.

Thanks Bullfrog.
I guess this effects the IWT in a positive way. Would it give you more hours when they introduce the revision, rather than weekly IWT figures?

The one with the most packets also gives you the best chance of completing your deliveries.

But:
Set the model week too high and you are lapsing still.
Set the model week too low and you are f****d.
The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.

I used a week in November which gave my members increases to their contracts .

You have to play them at their own game. We needed so many hours and with our then staffing levels and their contracts come repick time lots of people get made up :dance

They won't thank you for it but makes you feel better :whistle

The model week aid (TMWA) is the new way of creating the model week, It collates the previous 52 weeks of traffic and then gives you weeks 10-18 in ranking order to choose from. It also gives you the option to put upto date Tracked,specials and Large packet data into the week you choose, as said previously the higher manual traffic gives you more indoor hours. Bullfogs example is the older way of doing it(2010), things have moved on alittle since then.
