Post by uwe28 »

Has anyone been offered Ihr but not been off on sick. I have been off with it before and atos says i am covered under DDA but going off with half pay will only make things worse as i am struggling to cope as it is.I am strugling with Generlised anxiety disorder and depression,on a stage two but dont know what to do.Just feel like throwing the towel in.....

It's not usually done unless your off work or in rare cases if you get to a stage 3 and then you bring up that you want to be considered for IHR, but the whole point of IHR is that you cannot carry out your normal or any other duty that the employer wants you to( you will have to get referred again to Atos and supply medical evidence from your GP etc)but I'm confused are you saying that your working now but thinking of going off?
Presumably you've used up the 6 months full pay and your concerned about going onto half pay...don't be really it's more than half pay really(think I lost about £30 when I went onto it),what I'm concerned with is your on a Stage 2 and going off is going to put you on a Stage 3 which is dodgy to say the least.

Have you been put on Stage 2 for the same condition you are currently suffering from or was it something different,if Atossers have said your covered by The Equality Act you should be ok in theory if you get to a stage 3...but it seldom works out that way with these Muppets.
Royal Mail managers.....about as popular as a t.urd in a swimming pool!
The DDA/Equality Act demands action,NOT words......adjustments NOT Occupational Health referrals.Case No:2505901/09
Royal Mail is an Equal Opportunities Employer..It discriminates against everybody.

Hi!Yeah they have issued the stage 2 with the same condition and have suffered with it for years,i only got dda before the 2nd stage was issued.I had the same condition for the 1st stage but did not go as far as speaking to a atos dr to asertain if dda was applicable.Had CBT the first time which sort of helped, but it gradually got worse. The mangers used an old rehab plan for the first time 2 weeks on light's then normal hours at the 3rd week. The pay issue does not bother me really,i have got to the stage i am really considering to tell them to 2 stick the job up there A**E!!
