It's called saving money, if he's long term sick you should only lapse for one day, it's up to the managers to arrange cover after that, either through a body from another office, or asking people to work their day off.

If it needs sorting then the manager should take someone of sorting to prep but the delivery side should not be absorbed,royal fail in it's own blurb says that the outside of a delivery don't change so should not be absorbed the inside should be the only bit that is available,the walk should be offered to someone on a day off as o/t,if your given some to deliver on the way out then that will put your own delivery at risk,if you all play the game then the manager hopefully will get the idea.
