Who is meant to put in D2D's into the frame?

We've currently going through our revisions but at the moment. I'm the guy on 25hours a week who has to put in D2D's in the frame on my duty.

Is there any wording in the way forward agreement about who should put in D2D's?

as part of the revision process each duty will be planned and have a 318 produced, in this it will contain time for d2d prep so there will be time in someones duty to prep the d2d, it might be yours or the full timer who is prepping your duty, it all depends on who is planned to do it(though on a 25 hour duty, 5 hrs a day it is usually planned as the full timer)

318 which i have not seen for along time is for the walk that you are on which gives details from the time you come in till the end of what you would be doing
ie-sorting time/prep /meal break etc

As delivery spans, f/t to p/t ratios and p/t contracts all differ from office to office, so does the indoor work plan.
And the number of contracts in any given week and the traffic on any given day would also decide who should prep the D2D.
If you are being asked to do them, the only relevant question is - do you have time to prep the D2D and complete within your contracted hours?

if you are on 25 hours then in all likelyhood you are pre-revision(park and loop)
Basically this means that you will have a 3 and a half hour delivery span with conveyance/pouching off(30 mins) plus 30 min break!....that leaves 30mins to check hazards,do re-directs,tie-up walk....but your D2D's should be already prepped into your fitting!!!.....managers will always in my experience try and get you do to them for nothing,and because they rely on your lack of knowledge...but explain what i have said to your rep/manager and let them deal with it...if they refuse to recognise what you are saying,then either book overtime,or throw the D2D's in yourself...then see your manager and tell him/her you will have difficulty completing your delivery!

I had the same argument with the managers and some of the old school posties.

on my 25hr contract (now 26 coz of the revision) I SHOULD walk in collect the filled bags and off to the van.

The full timer preps 1 and a half walks and someone else preps the other half.

I dont touch kill offs, redirects, d2ds etc.

An old guy try to "convince" me (others would call it bullying, but i'm too old and past caring to be bullied ) that it was my job to prep 1/6 of the d2ds when i covered his day off.
I refused, giving the CWU stance on it, he said he would just write on the d2d completion sheet that i hadnt done it.... I took the sheet there and then and wrote on it myself that i hadn't done it.... he's been nice as pie since then

It's not my agreement that arranged all this, its down to the employer and the rep, their ball, their pitch I just play along.

If a manger tells you to prep your own D2D's, you reply that it may have a negative impact on delivery, and you will be cutting off or claiming the O/T.
