39 hour week,,,day off so doing 39.5 hours?

hi,,,as i read a lot of offices were asked to move from 40hrs to 39 hrs,,,ours included,,,,as an office we voted on coming in later on a monday and tuesday,,,each day by 1/2 an hour.

Now i worked today monday so theres 30mins less this week,,,but my day off is tomorrow,,,so i wont be using up the sencond 30 mins,,,,what i was wandering then is weds to sat,,,,my next 4 days will just be mynormal hours so at the end of the week i`d have worked 39.5 hrs and will be paid for 39.

I will ask on my return weds but if you are day of on a mon or tues you wont get the 30 mo=ins each day?

am i right ?
btw were in an office thats not had the revision yet so we were doing the 40 hrs

Tar son,,,,,,i dont think anybody thought of this when it was put to us,,,,seems even though they knew it was to come in,,,asking us to vote and agree last fri/sat to start today was rushed.

so on that score mon day of 1 week,,,owed 30mins,,,,tues day of week after owed 30mins,,,,,every 6 weeks thats 1 hour,,,over the course of the year its a days pay

i wil be asking for the 30mins later this week LOL

we were offered that in our office, but disagreed with the DIM, in the end he agreed to us coming in 12 minutes later every day.

If you do either of those you would work over 39 hours when your day off falls on monday or tuesday so over the six week day off rotation you would do an extra hour than you are being paid for (235 instead of 234).



In our DO we finish half hour earlier Mon & Tues, when our day off falls on these two days we finish half hour earlier on the Saturday.

you should have held held back on voting we received a e mail today from cwu listing 4 options 1 late start mon, tue.2 6 mins off start of duty 6 mins off end.3, 12 mins off end of each working day. 4, local negotiations. i think we will go for option 3.

yeah its ok,,,all those options were put to us,,,and we took advice from local HQ who advised the 30 mins mon and tue.....so we did.

You should still be getting paid the same amount as you were when you were working 40 hrs.

you get a vote if you cant get an agreement with management by 30 01 13, management wanted a 6.30 start mon tue . we felt that this was not beneficial, as most of our rounds on a medium to heavy day are achievable,due to past butchery. having a earlier finishing time 12 mins each day increases your earning potential if you decide to book ext del and decreases the likelihood of having to take out extra work when you return to the office.Also the DOM said there was no way we could have 12 mins off the end of each day......still trying to get my head around an early start mon tue surly if one of theses days is your day off you do a 39 1\2 hour week.

yeah benn "discussing" this most of this week,,,,,a manager was very reluctant to do anything to the 1/2 hour owed,,,,i cant say his exact reply incase its read on here.

ive been on to the rep and he seems to think.......

if were monday or tuesday day off then the other of these days we would start an extra extra 1/2 hour later LOL sooooo original start was 6am,,,,,,,with the 39 hr week weve moved to 630am start mon and tue,,,,,and now to compensate either day off then we`ll be 7am start mon or tue LOL

I am totally confused. we have longer and shorter days after our revision to make up our 39 hour week. Does that mean if our day of is on a short day then for that week we will be over our 39 hours. Do we look at it over a six week cycle.
