Transfers

Hi,

Can anyone help or provide advice with potentials transfer? I am looking for a transfer from England to Scotland and have initiated the transfer process within my office, set up and searched the RM job alerts, contacted the relevant area managers but nothing seems to be moving. Any have any suggestions about what else I could be doing? Thanks.

Sounds like you have ticked ll the box's short of actually going to the office your interested in transferring to and showing your face.

Just go to local delivery office you want transfer and ask to meet the DOM or whatever then ask him/her to help you to get/speed up transfer there.

You need to establish which offices have vacancies in the area you want to move to.
You might need to accept you are going to have to agree to a reduced hours contract.
If you are currently f/t and are hoping for a f/t position, I doubt if your transfer will ever happen.

It might also be that the area you want to move to is currently undergoing revision activity and they might not be recruiting in that area.
DSM, or Divisional rep should be able to tell you.

I have a question regarding a transfer. What are the chances of me keeping my holidays I've already booked with my current office?

I will think the new management will let you keep those, but again this is Royal Mail.
