Hi all just a quick question ive been with royal mail now since june 2010 and still on fixed tem temp 30hr contract
on a stage 2 dom says the dsm says i have to have 6 months no sick before i can get a perm contract and the reveision is happening in june 2013
ive asked my rep says nothing i can do about it but surely after 2 years service thought union had an aggrement would it be worth putting a greivince in about this or isnt worth the aggravation

I am not sure if it helps or not but as a trialist my contract was not confirmed until I had cleared all sickness stages - this might be what they are on about. Then again I could be very wide of the mark.

Similar situation here. Been with RM 2 years, and still getting temp 3 month contracts. Cost cutting seems to be their main priority, thus we stay temporary as long as possible. Email Moya greene at justsayit, her team will probably look into it.

your only on trial for first 12 months which im led to belive

No trialist should have his/her appointment confirmed whilst under this procedure.

If your revision is happening in 2013 I doubt if there is any chance of your contract being made permanent before then.
The revision will decide how many people the office needs.
I can't see any point in you causing any trouble for the sake of another 6 months, especially if you are already on a stage 2.
There is no hard and fast agreement that all FTCs will be made permanent after 2 years. It is a bit woolier than that.

thats what i thought and to be honest our office wil end up putting more jobs in lol as most walks are 650 delivery points plus
