Voluntary Redundancy

Hi everyone, I'm a postman and i am trying to get a contact phone number or email address so that I can find out if I'm still eligible for voluntary redundancy. I have already spoken to a representative at my office a few weeks ago about it and they said that they would find out for me and that they would try to have my estimated redundancy pay sent to me through the post but I still haven't heard anything? I have just found out today from a colleague that I need to return the form by the 2nd Febuary to confirm that I want to take voluntary redundancy but I can't do that until I have had my estimate from them first!? Any help with this matter would be greatly appreciated.

You need to send your letter back and then you will get a quote.

you can only ask for a quote from your manager if your office is going through a process and vr is being offered

i have done 27 years...want out but am only 45

Current VR Compensation terms"

0.5 weeks assessable pay for each full year of service under the age of 22; plus
1.0 weeks assessable pay for each full year of service from age 22 to age 40; plus
1.5 weeks assessable pay for each full year of service over the age of 41
added together, the total from the above is then multiplied by 3.75 to give total No of week's entitlement.

Minimum entitlement = 26 weeks compensation
Maximum entitlement = 104 weeks

I didn't realise you could just ring a number and ask for VR,
I thought you had to wait untill your office cut the number of duties before you were asked.

I will be 41 in august and will do 8 years and work full time. How much will it be roughly.

So is this 1.5 X 8 years X 3.5 X Numbers of Weeks X 372 or 393.72 pounds a week ?

Is there a spreadsheet or online app I could use.
