I have had this almost same problem, have a week off, walk is on OT, no one does D2D's then expected to do them in the week I come back along with that weeks D2D's

tell your DIM that you are going to do a certain amount if you want to, say 20% and no more, if he says you have to complete them all, tell him that he will have to discipline you and then everyone else who did not do the D2D's this week.

he won't do this as it will flag him as not doing his job correctly. job done.

told my DIM this and when I came back on the Monday afternoon, the last weeks D2D's were gone from my frame.

Yeah I did think about 20% but I know they won't have it so ill take them all and cut off I think. Shouldn't have to do any really!

Our guys normally "do a deal" and get overtime agreed in advance before they go out when this happens. The dom would sooner pay than risk a cut off, esp on a sat as she likes to go home at 9am to do her shopping.

Hi all. Have a small issue. There has been a walk we have been lapsing all week where all the d2ds still remain in the frame. Nobody did there lapsing this as didn't have time so late turns have been doing the mail but leaving d2ds in the frame. The are 754 delivery points on this walk. So that's 754 d2ds left in the frame. D2ds are meant to be completed by Friday. Ive been placed on this walk tomorrow as a duty. I already know management will try to say I must take all the d2ds and deliver them. Its a bulky d2d so im going to have countless bag drops and definatly won't complete. Im not going to refuse to take the d2ds out I i will say that I cant complete as its way too many. I will also say they are meant to be completed by Friday. Not Saturday. Am I right in this? I've already done my 20% of d2ds during the week on other duties so to ask me to do a whole frame is out of order. Also this keeps happening on this same frame. Almost everyweek. Advice?

d2ds are spread out over the entire week now, 16% per day is supposed to be done unless a local agreement overriding,

simple advice just following the agreed cutting off procedure and let your manager worry about the mail you dont have time to complete

I personally wouldn't do them, we do D2D M-F as well, local agreement so why should you do them on sat when no one else in the office is
doing any. It was his job to make sure they were done during the week so why should you be penalised for his lack of management. Tell him
to ask a casual or PTimer looking OT to them all. If i gave in to anything it would be 20% only not taking them all as you have to bundle them all up
for nothing.

listen just cut off and leave mail in frame which you wont be able to do in your time, as simple as that dont rush take it easy such a great job when you use this approach.

I am staggered that the people that have done the walks have not taken any d2ds out and management had done nothing so far. At least the some should have gone with properties that had mail from monday to friday. It might be bulky but they should have taken them with the mail being delivered - they were going to the property anyway.

When people do lapse they pick the mail out and leave the d2ds behind. Same if lates cover the duty. Its a farce.

ask manager what should be done with D2D whilst telling him that you will only be working to scheduled duty time, if they insist you take them all then inform manager you wont be able to complete delivery in time before you leave office, then cut off at duty end time.
