walking back to the office

Is there a limit on time/ distance you can walk back to the office from your delivery? I`ve got to do a walk which I will be taken to in a van & use one of the big red trolleys. At the end of it its a 1.5 mile/ half hour walk back to the office, can i insist that I`m picked up? Ta.

But there is nothing stopping you asking ....

We have sometimes had posties ringing in to be picked up over a mile away and a van has gone out and picked them up...

Years agao they RM use to give us bus tickets( like Vouchers) to use to get back to the office,

Then crew buses came in and eventually went
Though I would expect the postie in question may have trouble with the HCT on the bus,

Still I would lock the hct up and get the driver to pick it up later.

if they wont pick you up demand taxi money from the dom

The start point and finish point of a HCT duty should be within 1 mile of the office.
Either there is something wrong with the planning of the duty and it isn't supposed to be a HCT duty or there is something wrong with your measuring.

Does it really matter if you still finish on time, RM are paying for your time and if they want you to walk for 30 minutes then so be it.

Why would it be a joke? If it takes extra traveling time then it takes less delivering time, I'm not saying it's perfect but it's the only real defence we have, working our hours.

Our office now has converted some van shares to HTC duties. The main reason being is that we wanted it that way because we could basically go back do doing just your own walk. Some of us now complete and others do more than with the LWT.
