Sent home bout 8.20 we were

Delivery not bad, if you were VERY Careful. Drive the 5 miles home was horrendous, many near misses, me and other drivers.
The snow was landing on ice from frozen rain the night before, so even a 4 Wheel drive Audi was struggling on a hill, as was an Artic lorry too. Caused huge tailback.
Two snow ploughs appeared, going the other way!

Dunno wot to do about tomorrow...roads are a White Out at the mo, blizzard conditions, ice lumps sticking to the windows via the storm force winds...
Cant see many getting in tomoz, or even getting home tonite.

doesn't matter how much snow we get in Scotland we are still expected to go out and deliver the mail ... if we don't their is always a sh!t storm

Well in this area we tend not to get too extremes of weather but I recall having to go out in snow deeper than my wellie tops to deliver but I have never known a day when all deliveries had to be suspended - that's not to say they shouldn't have been just that they never have.

At least she made a "Decision". Got back to our place looking like Frosty the Snowman, as did many others. No managers, no written notes, no messages at all.
Nada, zip, zilch, nuffin. Par for the course, then? Think the general consensus was, Wots good for the goose is good for the gander.

Cant wait to see wots occurin tomorrow: Blizzard conditions still, drifting, lateral/horizontal snow with very icy particles sticking to all surfaces.
Much worse than the last lot we had 2 yrs back. Wind more fierce, thicker, dryer snow. Doesn't melt so easily as the wet stuff. ( Thank u The One Show!)
