day off + sunday = sick days ?

hi was off sick after xmas ,recently had my back to work jargon,just wondering when you are on the sick does your day off and sundays count as absence days.

yes a couple of years ago i got caught out on that ,they counted in sunday which meant i needed a doctors note ,which the doctor disputed went backwards and forwards and eventually had to pay the doctors over a tenner for one with him putting my employer in the dodgy company bracket on claims ? well it is royal mail

sgt rock is right. I recently had a Saturday sick. Told the DOM id be back Monday. One day only counted as sick leave. TBH he was astounded i only took one day off, cos most people would string it for at least 3 or 4 days!
