How much would a person with 25 years service expect to receive from taking EVR?

Approx 94 weeks pay (£30k of which I think is non taxable) plus 12 weeks notice pay taxable. Thats what I work it out to be but could well be wrong.

O got offered 37K and I had done 23yrs which was last year and I am 54

Are these EVR offers in D.O.s?

In 12 years I've never known anyone in our office to be offered VR, everyone who has left has either retired, resigned or been sacked!!

You have kind of answered your own question there wacko! You haven't needed it, it's mostly in mail centres where the volumes of work fall and changes are made or they have to make the yearly savings!

Oh well I suppose that accounts for where the slack(ers) in the system are within RM. Whilst delivery gets worked into the ground with offices run on a skeleton staff, M.C.s have the luxury of excess staff and regular EVR being offered.

Not really! Mail centres get new ways of working so productivity goes up and the job gets done more efficiently with new machines ie the walk sequencers etc! Where as there is always going to be the same amount of houses that get covered on a walk.

You were asked to say YES or NO to each proposal. I said yes to EVR. We are a rural delivery office, so doubt i'll get it...but i'm sure going to try. Ask....and ye may receive ;)

LOL, you're quite right, if anyone in your D.O. actually gets a buy-down or EVR I'll show me arse on the high street!!
We were also given these options but when it came down to it those of us who wanted to reduce our hours were told fine but you won't be getting a buy-down for doing it

I would think there I chances of buy downs in delivery if you are one of the ones that is still on 40 hours!

We had 2 VRs.
But if you they offer VRs you can't have anyone else made full-time.
