just a thought

we all know how bloody sneaky and damm low royal mail has got over the last few months

whats the chance that royal mail will take 4 days pay out in one big hit instead of taking 2 days out over 2 weeks

the reason for asking can royal mail do this legally or not

and has the cwu thought about this possibility

ive told some of my guys to expect the worse and they will/might try this stunt so they can be prepared if it happens

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

If all the money is taken in one week then it can only benefit us, after all we pay less NI (of course RM pay less NI) but it's the govt. that gets less so maybe it'll make them listen!!

They can't take 4 days money in one week. What happens if the second strike is cancelled (can't see it but stranger things happen) How do managers know who will strike second time. People might scab on the first strike, see the error of their ways and come out on the second strike. Managers would be opening themselves up for grievences and i don't think the'd want that

As I understand it they have upto Tuesday to make any changes to pay for that week so no show Tuesday 4 days pay lost :sad:

i don't know if anyone's actually rang wages to find out what they've been instructed to do?
But as they process them early in the week they must assume you'll be available for work,so the earliest opportunity
to deduct would be the following week.
privately my manager said he'd had an e-mail to confirm this,although he's made no announcement,which surprises
me as it would of been an opportunity to sway any waver'ers.
with day's off and O.T. i think you'd be very unfortunate to lose 4 days pay,but i don't envy anyone working in wages
for the next few weeks.
