Privatisation What Do You Think ?

I wanted to know what is the view out there within the workforce will we get privatised ??????????

Personally I'm nervous for my job, But I am a worrier!! I have worked in processing for 12 years and a have enjoyed it and don't want to loose my job! There hopefully isn't much for me to worry about but I wish I could get that into my own head!

Just like death, it will happen eventually, the question is just how bad the deal is when it comes about. Will we have a wage slash towards minimum wage, a massive reduction in workforce because of losing a delivery day and/or planners pulling more nonsense from their "Garbage In Garbage Out" predictor programmes? Watch this space...

I don't see privatisation as a threat, the company is being run by number crunchers as it is who haven't a clue about standards of service or what is actually happening beyond the coffee cup and laptop.

My hours are all over the place, I don't feel secure, and I don't feel valued. RM should remain public, but the route to privatisation has already been taken and that is why we have these problems, it can't get worse apart from redundancy and maybe that will be a blessing..

Nothing wrong with gardening. I get paid more per hour doing gardening in my spare time than Royal Mail pay. If it was an all year round job, I would have gone years ago.

It's not that easy to find new jobs when you have done the same one for years!

As long as you've got your health that's the most important thing,if I loose this job I will get by,worrying isn't going to change anything.No jobs are safe now.

Spoken like a true mail centre employee.........wonder how you'll manage when the cuts come and you're wandering the streets with an HCT.......bet you won't be as keen then.
